Ash Wednesday is drawing near!
Dear People of God: The first Christians observed with great devotion the days of our Lord's passion and resurrection, and it became the custom of the Church to prepare for them by a season of penitence and fasting... I invite you, therefore, in the name of the Church, to the observance of a holy Lent, by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and meditating on God's holy Word.

Lent begins with A sh Wednesday, February 26. There are three services scheduled:

7:00 am - Holy Eucharist with Imposition of Ashes
Stop in to Church before work or school to begin Lent with this quiet, reflective service. The Rev. Cheryl Minor will preach.

4:30 pm - Children's Service with the Imposition of Ashes
We will push all the chairs out of the way up in the Choir and gather on the floor for a Godly Play story called "The Mystery of Easter" told by our Co-Rector, the Rev. Cheryl Minor. Cheryl will demonstrate how ashes are made and talk about their meaning. The imposition of ashes will follow. Everyone will go home with "Lent in a Bag" - a bag filled with activities for families to do at home throughout the season of Lent to help them prepare to come close to the Mystery of Easter.

7:00 pm - Holy Eucharist with the Imposition of Ashes
This service will include music and the Rev. Cheryl V. Minor will preach.

Watch "The Mystery of Easter" (the Godly Play story mentioned above) below.

Pasta Night planned for Global Montessori School community!
All Saints' is planning a Pasta Night for the Global Montessori School community on Friday, February 28. Volunteers from the parish are needed to help with set up, serving, and clean up. We also hope the families from the church will attend to get to know the families from the school. Our Co-Rector, who teaches both music and Godly Play for the school, will end the evening with a Song-Tale. Sign up to help on the table in the Clark Street Vestibule.
February Strategic Planning Question:
What is the most important thing about our life at All Saints' Church?
The Vestry is entering a time of strategic planning for the future of All Saints’. For the past few years we have been focused on the physical plant (the renovations to the Nave and the Clark Street Vestibule). What is next? They want to invite the entire parish into the process over the next five months focusing on five key questions - one each month from January to May. The question for February is:

What is the most important thing about our life at All Saints’ Church?

  1. Share your thoughts via an online survey by clicking on the link below here: What is the most important thing about our life at All Saints'?

In March we will take up the third question:

What part of our life together is about you or especially for you?
