Support the Immigration Legal Advocacy Project
helping new Mainers to seek asylum

Starting in mid-June 2019, over 200 refugees fleeing horrifying political violence in the Grand Kasai region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo have arrived in Portland by bus from the U.S. southern border. Most are in a "defense asylum" immigration status in need of expert legal advice from Maine's Immigration Legal Advocacy Project to fight deportation and claim lawful asylum status.

If you cannot attend this event but would like to support ILAP,
