Dear Friends,
Happy Women's History Month! It's time to celebrate and acknowledge 50% of the population, and we have plenty of events scheduled this month. We are going to a high school, a woman-owned business, two historical societies (York County and Lebanon County), and Montgomery County Community College, our new partner. Learn about all of our events here: Events
First, let me get you caught up on our exciting partnership with Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) where the first ever archive devoted exclusively to the history of the Justice Bell has been established. The MCCC’s Archive includes two collections: The Justice Bell 1915 Collection and The Justice Bell Foundation 2015 Collection. These archives will be available to students, employees, and community members after the Justice Bell Replica departs for future residencies. You can learn about it here: Press Release
Help Bring the Justice Bell’s Story to Readers
A century ago, the Justice Bell inspired a movement—now, we need your help to share its history with the world.
We need to raise $10,000 to bring The Justice Bell: Tracing the Journey of a Forgotten Symbol to publication. This book is the first in-depth account of the Justice Bell’s creation, its historic 1915 tour, and its journey into obscurity and rediscovery. It features biographies of twenty-five suffragists who traveled with the bell, rare historical photographs, and firsthand accounts of its impact on communities throughout Pennsylvania and beyond.
Publishing a book of this caliber requires significant resources, including professional editing, design, and printing. All proceeds from book sales will go directly to the Justice Bell Foundation, our nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, inspiring, and mobilizing voters. Through school programs, a documentary film, and a public art replica of the Justice Bell, we continue our mission of highlighting women’s contributions to democracy.
As a nonprofit, the Justice Bell Foundation relies on the generosity of supporters like you. Your tax-deductible donation will ensure this vital history is preserved.
