Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time, knitting a cozy scarf, or planting your first garden, hobbies provide a wonderful opportunity to learn, relax, and express creativity. This month encourages individuals to discover new hobbies or rekindle old ones.


The Glen Ridge Public Library is the one-stop-shop for any hobbyist - veteran or newbie! Explore our card catalog to find new books on cooking and cooking techniques. Hop onto our online services to learn a language with Mango; or try your hand at a new craft with Craftsy. Plan your spring garden with plants from our Native Seed Library; or become your family's archivist with slide scanners, digitizers, and converters from our Library of Things. The Library's got you covered!

The Glen Ridge Public Library is seeking a part-time substitute Library Assistant for at least two (2) Saturdays per month during the hours of 9:00AM - 5:00PM; and during the week, both daytime and evenings on an as-needed basis. This person will have the opportunity to work in both youth services and adult departments.
