MSJC REFLECTIONS & RESOURCES

LGBTQ+ INITIATIVE

The 2024 LGBTQ Catholic Ministry Outreach Conference was held August 2-4 at Georgetown University in DC. One of the keynote speakers was Bsp. Wilton Gregory, who said in his homily, "The presence and the pastoral needs of our LGBTQ sisters and brothers may often be viewed as a volatile topic, but they must be faced with sincerity and genuine compassion." This sentiment is an Amen to the themes of MSJC's Imago Dei assembly in Dayton at the end of June. One of the people who participated and spoke at both event was Christine Zuba. Zuba, who is transgender, was asked by Fr. Andrea Conocchia to meet Pope Francis. Marianist Meatless Mondays

By popular request, we are going to try to indicate when recipes are vegan or when simple adjustments can make them vegan. Our main goal remains to provide recipes that are meatless, so not all recipes will be vegan. Also, the Marianist Meatless Monday Team is cookin’ up some special programs in the coming months—one on nutrition and another discussing a powerful movie about the link between agriculture and climate change. Stay tuned!

Here are 4 new meatless recipes to try in the next month!

As women in the Marianist Family have journeyed with each other in many varied opportunities over the years. This gathering enables us to reflect on the Magnificat and pray for continued ways to respond more justly in our world. Join us in San Antonio this October for the Marianist Women's Summit!
