FAIR REPRESENTATION FOR
PASADENA HOUSING PROVIDERS
Equal representation on the Rent Board will ensure fair decisions and relevant expertise in managing Pasadena's rental industry.
Early in March, our fair and balanced ballot measure will be submitted. If we are able to get 15,000 signatures of Pasadena voters, we will qualify for the November ballot. Our measure will deliver what voters have asked for in two surveys:
-
An equal number of landlords and tenants on the rent board
-
Preserving Costa-Hawkins to prevent VACANCY CONTROL
-
Capping out-of-control spending and fees
-
Merging the Rent Stabilization Department into the longstanding Department of Housing to save $3 million per year
-
Preserving reasonable rent control and eviction protections for tenants
Based on two professional voter surveys, if we can qualify for the November 2026 ballot, we will likely win!
Tenant activists from Oakland spent almost $400,000 to get Measure H passed in 2022. To get a fair and efficient rent board, we need to spend even more than that.
Please contribute $120 per rented unit that you own or manage. This includes single family homes, apartments, condos and ADUs, which are ALL covered under Measure H.
At this time, your contributions may be deductible as an operating expense. Once our ballot measure is submitted to the city, contributions will not be deductible. Please check with your professional tax advisor. Contribute online HERE.
