A Word from Jeremiah

This Sunday will be a special day of worship at King of Peace. Christian singer Justin Ryan will be our very special guest to bring the message in song. Justin has been a part of MCC for many years, bringing his love of Southern Gospel music to many of our churches. In more recent years, he started a virtual musical podcast called "Southern Gospel Sissy", with a weekly installment of word and song. It has been such an effective evangelism tool that in 2025, MCC awarded Justin with the "Freda Smith Purple Grass Award for Excellence in Evangelism". You can watch here (new episodes every Sunday).

We will take up a special love offering to support Justin and his ministry. If you like Southern Gospel music, don't miss this Sunday!

Upcoming Activities

During the month of August, we are collecting Breakfast Items and Clothing for Pinellas Central Elementary School. You can pick up a flyer in the lobby or see the items in the picture above. If you'd prefer to make a financial contribution for this effort, just put "PCES Drive" in the memo line or contact the church office.

We are now accepting pictures for our special presentation for Grandparents' Day. Please note that we want pictures of you and your grandchildren, so that we can honor the grandparents of King of Peace. Please submit your pictures to photos@churchstpetersburg.org. Deadline is this Sunday, 8/30! If you don't know how to scan them yourself, please bring them to church with you on Sunday.

Our next meeting of the Rainbow Housing Coalition will be after worship on Sunday, August 30th. We hope you'll stick around to find out what work we are doing in this community.

Our next monthly Dinner Club will be at Miller's Ale House in Seminole on Monday, August 31st at 6:30 pm. This is a great way to socialize and get to meet others from King of Peace. If you would like to RSVP, please sign up in the foyer or contact the church office.

Please help us start getting the word out about our Fall Festival and Pet Blessing on Saturday, Oct. 3rd. If you or something you know might want to be a vendor, have them contact Kathy King at 941.812.7850 or call the church office 727.323.5857.

If you are able to donate, please bring them with you on Sunday or during the week when the office is open, and place them in the donation cart in the foyer.

Help us get the word out about our food pantry, both for clients and those who could donate food needs. Feel free to pass this flier on to anyone you can!

The MCC Florida Network Gathering will be held Sept. 24–26 at King of Peace MCC. It is open to everyone and will include guest speakers, workshops, worship, and time to connect with others from across the Network.
