Pre Training Requirements
> The device is most effective on dogs that behavior can be controlled with ball, tug, etc. in a variety of different  
   environments.
> Familiarize yourself with device before dog is introduced by testing both reward and signal ranges.
> Condition dog to device by setting up some short distance away and eject his reward. Once dog is showing consistent   
   drive for the reward coming from the device then training may begin.

To vary the height of the ejection of the reward, use different weight rewards.  
For example:  
  • tennis ball ejects 10 feet
  • hollow rubber ball ejects 4 feet. 
  • large KONG® ejects 2 feet (must be inserted upside down).
  • solid rubber ball ejects 2 feet.

To vary the height of the ejection of the reward, use different weight rewards.

When the K-9 BSD®-4B unit is cocked, it is turned on and draining the batteries. 
Do not store or leave the unit cocked for long periods of time or it will run the batteries down. 
The K-9 BSD-3R uses 4 AA batteries included. The easiest way to cock the device is to insert a ball or KONG® into the device and push down with the ram rod provided.

The K-9 BSD®-4B trains passive and aggressive alerts quickly and accurately by allowing the trainer instant timing of the active reward directly from the target odor source. The initial and maintenance training can take place in real work settings, creating behavior generalization and efficiency in training. The initial odor and hunt behavior cue is trained with the odor imprinting ball.

The K-9 BSD®-4B trains passive and aggressive alerts quickly and accurately by allowing the trainer instant timing of the active reward directly from the target odor source. It is recommended that a variety of rewards, such as a tennis ball, KONG® or rubber ball, be used once the dog is ready for alert training.

K-9 BSD 1 Ball Dropper with Velcro Plate

The Ball 1 Dropper with Velcro can be attached to a K-9 handler’s vest that has been modified with a piece of velcro to attach it to. It is an excellent tool for focused heeling. The remote has three buttons: one for ball release, one for tone, and one for tone and ball release.

The 1 Ball Dropper with Magnet can be attached to any metal object such as stairwells, the outside of vehicles, up under metal parts of cars, scent detection training wall with metal attachment plates, etc. The remote has three buttons: one for ball release, one for tone, and one for tone and ball release.

K-9 BSD 4 Ball Dropper

The 4 Ball Dropper comes with a hanging strap that allows the unit to be hung in a Schutzhund blind or anywhere desired. 
An optional elbow adapter is available for $49.95 that allows you to use the 4 Ball Dropper with the BSD wall kit, so it can be used for scent detection. 
The 4 ball dropper drops a ball with each push of the button on the remote and holds four balls. The remote can control up to eight all droppers.
