"Effective Strategies for Improving Supply Chain Operations" is Feb. 8, 2018. The professional development course provides a comprehensive look at all key functional areas of supply chain operations and how these areas interact and collaborate.


Members of industry will have the opportunity to learn about the research capabilities, technologies and facilities at Kansas State University that are available to enhance products and technologies at the 2018 Research Showcase.

Faculty profile: Royce Ann Collins
 

Service through teaching and religion run deep in Dr. Royce Ann Collins' family bloodlines. Her mother's side of the family has had a teacher in nearly every generation, while her father's side has had a preacher in nearly every generation. Dr. Collins is an associate professor of adult learning and leadership in Kansas State University's College of Education and the adult learning and leadership graduate program director for K-State Olathe and Fort Leavenworth.

  • Healthy Cooking for Diabetes, Jan. 9 -- Living with Type 2 diabetes or have a family member or friend who is? From 5-8 p.m. on Jan. 9, 2018, experts in nutrition and the culinary arts will teach participants how to cook easy, delicious meals that will help them manage diabetes through a healthy diet. Following an information session, participants cook, eat and enjoy multiple, main courses and side dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Register now


Rebekkah Stuteville joins K-State Olathe as the assistant dean of academic support services and teaching associate professor. She is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of new academic programs, initiatives and recruiting efforts. She also will teach, mentor and advise students seeking their master's degree. 

Around the campus
 

On Dec. 6,  K-State Olathe hosted the second seminar in a series on regulatory affairs in animal health. Speakers addressed some of the regulatory challenges that come with new animal health technologies. Talks looked at the issue from the perspectives of companion animal care, pharmaceutical production, food animal production, federal regulation and more.



Judy Favor, assistant professor of a
dult learning and leadership , and Angela Buzard, manager of training and development, recently provided a 3-hour training for Dechra Veterinary Services. The training focused on three key areas: understanding how adults learn, engaging your audience and effective presentation delivery.
