K-12 coordinator earns national science-based accreditation |
Martha Nowak, K-12 coordinator at Kansas State University's Olathe campus, recently received an OpenSciEd micro-certification through BloomBoard. OpenSciEd is a collaboration among science educators, curriculum developers, teachers and philanthropic foundations to improve science education through the development and use of high-quality, freely available, science instructional materials for K-12 classrooms.

Conference focuses on commercial vehicle safety in the Midwest |
The 2022 Midwest Commercial Vehicle Safety Summit hosted by Kansas State University Department of Civil Engineering takes place in June. It aims to reduce the number and severity of commercial vehicle crashes in the Midwest through an exchange of ideas.

Participate in a sensory study
The Sensory and Consumer Research Center at K-State Olathe is continually seeking consumers interested in sharing their honest opinions about food or consumer products. The center offers daytime and evening testing times and also studies that are tested at home. Consumers of all ages are welcome.

K-State Olathe recently hosted the League of Women Voters of Johnson County and the Girl Scouts of Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri. The Girl Scouts learned about democracy and the election process. |

Regan Allen recently presented her master's thesis for the M.S. in Veterinary Biological Science program. Allen, who is a dose formula analyst for KCAS, discussed how using a One Health approach could control canine rabies in nations that have large populations of free roaming dogs that aren't vaccinated against the rabies virus. Her advisor is Haley Larsen. |
