Students complete degree programs in spring semester
Seventeen students are being recognized for completing their degree program at K-State Olathe during the 2021 spring academic semester.
Industry partners on joint scholarship for new students
K-State Olathe and the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association, or GKCRA, are partnering on a new scholarship for incoming students in the hospitality management bachelor's degree program. The scholarships are funded by the GKCRA and revenue generated by external organizations hosting their events, such as conferences, annual dinners and more, at K-State Olathe.

Upcoming professional development workshop focuses on personal financial planning
K-State's personal financial planning department and Olathe campus are partnering on a new professional development workshop to offer professionals in the financial planning sector a unique education opportunity that focuses on that focuses on the 'why' of client financial decisions.

One Health High School Summer Course, June 2 and June 23 -- K-State Olathe offers high school juniors and seniors a free, non-credit, online course about the complex interrelationships between humans and animals, humans and the environment and animals and the environment. Fun with Food Science Summer Camp, July 12-15 -- Sign up your curious junior scientist for a four-day online summer camp that explores the world of baking and the science behind the food we eat. Advanced Biologics Workshop, May 26-27 -- In this workshop, attendees will learn the history of applicable regulations used by the USDA’s Center for Veterinary Biologics and will gain an understanding of the integration of science into successful product approval and maintenance. | Register now

Advanced Pharmaceuticals Workshop, June 16-17 -- This advanced workshop covers topics that comprise the four major technical sections of a product submission to the FDA’s Center for Veterinary Medicine — chemistry, manufacturing and control; efficacy; target animal safety; human food safety; and efficacy for generic products. | Register now

Personal Financial Planning Workshop, June 29 -- Have you ever wondered how behavioral economics, client psychology and financial therapy fit together? Simple. They all seek to understand the why behind a client's financial decisions. Around Campus
Congratulations to Lindy Eakin, who recently received his State of Kansas Service Pin for 40 years of public service.

Service pins are awarded by the State of Kansas to employees who have served the state for 10 years or more and in 10 year increments thereafter.

Eakin, director of fiscal affairs at K-State Olathe, went from working as a graduate student at the University of Kansas to eventually earning the position of vice provost of administration and finance. He also taught history classes at KU.
