The Sensory and Consumer Research Center at K-State Olathe is continually seeking consumers interested in sharing their honest opinions about food or consumer products. The center offers daytime and evening testing times and also studies that are tested at home. Consumers of all ages are welcome.

Advanced Animal Biologics Workshop, July 13-14 -- This two-day workshop will provide a history of applicable regulations and an understanding of the integration of science into successful product approvals. Instruction will include: How to achieve target label claims for developing new products, while ensuring the product is pure, safe and effective; the planning, design and requirements for conducting pre-clinical and clinical trials; protocol design and the evaluation and assessment of the regulatory submission; as well as the requirements following licensure of the product will also be presented. Manreet Bhullar, research assistant professor of horticulture and natural resources, celebrated the graduation of his first student, Yeqi Zhao, who received her master's in horticulture with an emphasis in urban food systems this spring. Zhao also works in the Bhullar Food Safety Lab at K-State Olathe, where she researches the microbial quality of agricultural source water. |
