Seven undergraduate students earn scholarships from KC hospitality industry
Seven undergraduate students in the hospitality management programs at Kansas State University's Olathe and Manhattan campuses are receiving scholarships from The Hotel and Lodging Association of Greater Kansas City Education Foundation to support their studies.
'Biosensors and future impact' spotlight of Nov. 19 virtual event
Kansas City One Health Day explores how biosensors are used in measuring biological, chemical and physical signs of health, and how they will continue changing the fields of human and animal health and environmental science. 

Olathe researcher part of peer-reviewed food systems grant
Manreet Bhullar, research assistant professor with the Department of Horticulture and Natural Resources at K-State Olathe, recently received a Global Food Systems Seed Grant. He and colleagues are studying ultraviolet light technology to improve the safety of agricultural water used by Kansas farmers who grow fresh produce. This peer-reviewed funding is only awarded to projects that engage industry and promote job creation and economic development in Kansas around food systems.
