Message from KACC Executive Director
We are in the midst of the summer! Wishing you a great season whether this is your busy time or your down time.
Remember to support and shop local as much as you can and try to get to enjoy our beautiful Island!
We do not offer as many sessions and events throughout the summer months as we know how busy most people are or they are on vacation but have a few below if you are able to attend! We are already planning into the Fall for sessions and Small Business week events for October, so please reach out if you have any recommendations for sessions that you feel would benefit your business.
If you have something going on at your business or organization that you would like us to help promote or to attend, please tag us in the post or send an email!

Hello! My name is Kallia Hernandez, and I am this year's summer staff at the Kensington & Area Chamber of Commerce. I was born here in PEI, but I moved around a lot growing up. I went to school in Nova Scotia and, later, Ontario; ended up attending university in the US (SUNY University at Buffalo); and now that I've graduated, I'm back in PEI! In my free time, I like to read, draw, practice my instruments and singing, write music, learn languages, and go on hikes. I'm looking forward to meeting more members of this amazing community, and to give back to the place that has continuously supported me. I'm so grateful for this opportunity, and excited to get started!

Greetings from Town Hall
Summer is in full swing, and it's wonderful to see visitors and residents enjoying everything Kensington has to offer. The tourism season is an important time for many of our local businesses, and I want to thank you for the hospitality, service, and community spirit you bring to our town each day.
I would also like to welcome two new members of our municipal team: Nickie Wright, our Municipal & Accounting Clerk, and Leslie-Ann Ruben, our Manager of Finance and Administration. We are pleased to have them join us and look forward to the experience and dedication they bring to serving our community.
Wishing everyone a successful and busy summer season. Thank you for all that you do to help make Kensington a welcoming destination and a great place to live, work, and visit.

The Sterling Women’s Institute was formed in 1913 and has been serving the community of Stanley Bridge and surrounding communities for over 113 years. We own and operate the Stanley Bridge Hall which was constructed in 1868, we purchased the hall 1978.
Throughout the year we host many activities for communities including farmer markets, community meals, craft fairs, fundraising events, health and wellbeing classes and of course, our summer ceilidhs 6 nights a week!
We are known for our strawberries and ice cream during the summer but more importantly we are known as the heart of Stanley Bridge.
We are 31 members strong and growing. We are many helping hands and loving hearts who care deeply for our communities. We also operate as a rental hall for our community with two certified kitchens, accessible ramp, audio equipment, tables and chairs.
