We do not offer sessions and as many events throughout the summer months as we know how busy most people are or they are on vacation! We are already planning into the Fall for sessions and Small Business week events for October, so please reach out if you have any recommendations for sessions that you feel would benefit your business.

Welcome Samuel!!

Hello, my name is Samuel Milley, and I am starting this summer as the official summer student of the Kensington and Area Chamber of Commerce. I graduated from Kensington Intermediate Senior High school last year, I love playing sports, being outdoors and being able to always learn something new and/or meet new people.

I am looking forward to being in the Kensington area this summer, visiting chamber members and supporting our local businesses!

Since I moved to the island 4 years ago the town of Kensington and its surrounding area has always been welcoming, supportive and friendly. I can’t wait to do my best to help others and give back to this awesome community!

As we move through what I hope is a vibrant and successful tourism season here in Kensington, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of our local business owners and staff. Your dedication, creativity, and hard work are the backbone of our community and the reason so many visitors leave with such a positive impression of our town.

I know the summer season can be demanding, and I hope each of you finds a little time to enjoy the sunshine, recharge, and take pride in all that you’ve accomplished. Your efforts not only support our local economy but also help build the welcoming spirit that makes Kensington so special.

Under the Spire's 30th Anniversary season continues with world class music and community events as we near the end of July. Our diverse programming promises the perfect concert for everyone's taste. Upcoming community events (free to attend) include an African Market on July 25th, a puppy Pride event on July 28th, and a moving evening of story and song on July 29th. Lone Oak Beer Garden

The Lone Oak Beer Garden located in cavendish is an excellent choice for a night out meal or a quick bite. As the name implies there is an extensive list of brews, perfect to accompany some delicious food. One thing to note in case its missed is the kitchen closes one hour before close so make sure you time your visit accordingly.

GoFish Eatery

Owned and managed by Trent Murphy and located in Kensington and Summerside. The Gofish Food trucks are an awesome choice for some PEI fish and chips. However they also have chicken as an option. If you are feeling adventurous consider getting their house made onion salt on your fries. the truck also does specials which are sold till they run out.

Carr's Oyster Bar

Phyliss Carr is the proud owner of Carr's oyster bar which is an amazing choice for some high quality seafood. As the name suggests the oysters are what they are known for, but think of anything that comes out of the sea and they have it. located in Stanley bridge whether you are driving by, spent the day jumping into the water off the bridge or heard about it from a friend or family member take a trip to Carr's for your hungry appetites. There is also a gift shop for all your trinkets and souvenirs.

Celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. If you're ever looking for some live entertainment this summer, a trip to Under The Spire has to be on the list. With a long list of events running over the summer for all sorts of activities and music you are bound to find something you will enjoy. From local music artists to puppy drag shows under the spire has it all.

Dorothy Peters is the curator for the Keir Memorial Museum. If anyone is a history buff this is must go walking through is like you stepped into a time machine. with many authentic and fascinating artifacts and compelling stories you wont forget this experience.
