Did you know ...

Kensington Transit Bus Shelter

The Town of Kensington has been working with T3 Transit to help improve waiting conditions for those who use the T3 Transit system. We have received requests for a bus shelter to be located along the bus route and an area where transit users can park their vehicles while they are in Charlottetown or Summerside. The Town of Kensington has purchased a bus shelter that will be located in the Credit Union Centre (rink) parking lot at 25 Garden Drive. T3 Transit are making changes to their bus route, advising their customers, and will be starting to pick up passengers at that location effective September 3, 2024. This location will be much safer for the travelling public and provide shelter from the weather elements for those who need to walk to the bus stop or leave their vehicle during the day.

WELCOME TO THE CHAMBER!

International Children's Memorial Place

The International Children’s Memorial Place was incorporated in 1999. Bill and Myra MacLean’s son, Trevor, died in 1995. Understanding the healing power of nature, Bill set out to transform a former provincial park into a place where parents and families who have lost a child can visit and reflect on their loss.

The site is over 12 acres in size and is located in the center of PEI. Historically the area has been known for its beauty, hydropower generation, fishing, and canoeing/kayaking. In its entirety, the site is comprised of a 26-acre pond, dam, fish ladder, and a very serene walking trail that parallels the Dunk River.
