Message from the Chamber Executive Director

Summer has officially began and hopefully there will be lots of people around starting this week. We hope you get a chance to take the time to experience and enjoy the amazing hospitality the restaurants and establishments offer in our area!

The Kensington & Area Chamber is very fortunate to be one of the recipients of the PEI Alliance of Mental Well Being Grants for this year. Katie Muldrew has started with the Chamber this month and she will be reaching out to small business owners and employees to see what sort of sessions and activities you think would be beneficial to you in your workplace. Your input is important and very valuable to us! Please complete this survey to share your feedback.

As always, please reach out if you have any ideas for topics you would like to learn more about or if you have an event or promo that you would like us to share. You can tag us in your posts or you can send the info along to me.

DiverseCity Festival – Mark your Calendars 

On Sunday, August 18, 2024 the DiverseCity Festival will be coming to the Town of Kensington for the first time. This will be part of the Kensington Harvest Festival Celebrations and will take place from 11:00 am to 4:00pm, at the Schurman’s Gazebo location. This DiverseCity Festival has been taking place in other communities throughout Prince Edward Island, and we look forward to them coming to Kensington this summer. Please join us and experience the different cultures and entertainment. There will be food vendors present so you are able to experience some of the culinary tastes of other cultures.

Ruby's Counter is owned by Duncan Smith & Coreen Pickering and is located in the old Bakin Donuts location. They serve hot meals daily from 8:00am - 2:00pm and have meals and snacks to go till 5:00pm everyday, with a drive thru as well!

Go Fish Eatery has been at the Haunted Mansion parking lot since August of 2021 and have since opened a second food truck and it is located in Summerside (across from Staples)!
Go Fish Eatery is most well known for the best fish & chips around but they also have some other great menu items and are always trying new recipes out, which most are gluten free!
The Summerside location is now open and they Kensington location will be opening very soon! Check out their facebook page for their hours!

Under the Spire Music Festival has kicked off their season last weekend and runs until September 15th at Historic St. Mary's in Indian River.
