Message from KACC Executive Director

We had some great sessions in the past few weeks. We had a session with Eddie Lamoine followed by a youth panel. The 5 youth involved were so impressive and gave some great insight on their priorities and what is important to them.

We also held a webinar on cyber security and the importance of taking the steps and creating policies to be able to deal with a situation if a business, organization or person gets hacked. It's a lot less work and expensive to be proactive then trying to deal with it after it happens. For more information about courses or training, you can check out https://sentinelinstitute.ca/

Please join us for the 18^th Annual Kensington and Area Chamber of Commerce Business of Excellence Awards Gala and Christmas Social being held at New London Carriage House on Thursday, November 28^th, 2024 from 6:30pm-9:00pm. Join us to kick off the Holiday season and celebrate all of your accomplishments in Business!

The Kensington and Area Chamber of Commerce would love and appreciate your participation and support for this event and we look forward to seeing you there! Tickets are $60 + tax each (KACC members) $75 + tax (non-members) or if you purchase more than 6, the ticket price is $55 + tax. You can purchase online or contact the Chamber office and we can invoice you.

The deadline for buying tickets is November 22nd but don’t miss out in case they get sold out!

“Home for the Holidays” Christmas Festival 

On November 22nd, 23rd and 24th, the Town of Kensington will be hosting a Christmas Festival called “Home for the Holidays”, thanks to a volunteer group of dedicated people led by Coreen Pickering.

This festival will have many activities taking place over the weekend starting with the official lighting of the Christmas Tree on Friday evening at 5:00pm. 

You can find the activities scheduled on an event page on Facebook called “Home for the Holidays Christmas Festival”.

Thank you to the many sponsors and volunteers who have worked so hard to bring this festival together. Please take time to join as many events as you can and get a great start on enjoying the Christmas spirit.
