December 2025

The Korean American Scholarship Foundation (KASF) celebrated a successful year of supporting students through scholarships and community engagement. Regional award ceremonies honored exceptional scholars and showcased the continued generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers. Many chapters incorporated more student stories and alumni participation, making the events even more meaningful and inspiring. This year, KASF awarded approximately $850,000 to 324 students nationwide.

A major highlight of 2025 was the expanded role of the Program Committee. For the first time, the committee introduced new initiatives such as Narrative Summaries and the Tech Panel - more programs are coming soon. These programs strengthened alumni engagement, broadened learning opportunities for current scholars, and further enriched the overall student and community experience—all while advancing KASF’s long-standing mission of empowering the next generation.

As we close another meaningful year, we reflect with deep gratitude on the dedication, generosity, and spirit that define the KASF community. THANK YOU for being part of this journey. We look forward to another year of growth, collaboration, and positive impact!

2025 Tech Panel

KASF recently hosted a dynamic Tech Career Spotlight Panel, bringing together professionals across the technology sector to share their career journeys, industry insights, and advice for students and young professionals. The event highlighted the breadth of opportunities within tech—ranging from software engineering and product management to data science, UX design, and emerging AI roles.

$50,000 Donation from Florida

Choong Rhee Chair Scholarship

Pledged by Mr. Choong Rhee

Mr. Rhee recently established a Chair Scholarship in the SRC, and donated an additional $20,000 to the National Board to support the areas that need the most.

Mr. Rhee believes that nothing could be more rewarding than helping young talents who will lead the future achieve their dreams, even in a small way.

This donation also highlights Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) as a positive and tax-efficient way to support KASF. We hope this example encourages others to consider QCD giving as a meaningful way to make an impact.
