DAWNNA ST. LOUIS THIS MORNING @ 10AM ET
The KBA, through a special invitation from the Indiana Broadcasters Association, is offering a program for members to inspire TV and Radio broadcasters as the end of the year nears and as stations begin to look ahead to 2021 and beyond. As broadcasters continue to work hard and stay innovative in the era of COVID-19, renowned motivational speaker Dawnna St. Louis will provide a unique perspective on how to stay motivated, move forward, and achieve success during her 90-minute program “Get After It.”

Stay motivated and drive your success when you discover how to:
  • Create an environment that destroys distractions and keeps you focused.
  • Amp up your playground, playmates, and playthings to propel your success.
  • Rock your Discovery Call with a simple 3-part strategy
  • Identify the tire-kickers from the top two buyer personas within minutes
  • Use Customer-Value language to influence buyers
  • Master the art of the next best question
  • Be a one-call objection-handling deal-closing ninja!

The free, online program will begin at 10AM ET this morning. Click HERE and scroll to the bottom to register.

ACT NOW: URGE CONGRESS TO PASS THE LOCAL NEWS AND EMERGENCY INFORMATION ACT
The Senate has indicated it will make an effort to act on COVID-19 relief legislation this week, and broadcasters continue to strongly urge Congress to expand access to the Paycheck Protection Program.

Please take action now to ensure broadcasters' voices are heard.
The pandemic has taken a severe toll on radio and television stations at a time when you are working to keep your communities safe and informed.
Act now to urge Congress to pass the Local News and Emergency Information Act, which expands access to Paycheck Protection Program loans for broadcasters, and increase federal advertising in local markets, or to thank legislators who already support this bill.
AFFINITY X TO RELEASE 35 NEW INDUSTRY SPECIFIC PRE-CALL PREP SHEETS
Do you know the difference between a salesperson and a consultant? A consultant sells their advice, not the product. At AffinityX, we want to help you consult your clients into buying the right product for their needs. To effectively do that, you must know the industry. We have recently developed 35 industry specific “Pre-Call Prep” sheets to help you do just that. Join us for our training webinar. We’ll show you how to use these new Pre-Call Prep sheets to have better conversations with your advertisers, which will ultimately create the need and demonstrate your value to the business.
NEWSLETTER QUICK NOTES...
Last week, the FCC announced deadlines for the Broadcaster Relocation Fund. Click here for the FCC Public Notice. Many TV and some radio stations had costs associated with the post-incentive auction transition of TV stations to new channels. These costs included antenna and transmitter replacements, construction of new towers, erection of temporary or auxiliary antennas, engineering and legal fees and licensing and permitting costs. While the statutory deadline for obligating funds to reimburse TV and radio stations is July 3, 2023, the FCC has established earlier deadlines for submitting invoices. Click here to read more.
We still have a plenty of the snow-white, highly fashionable masks available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you would like additional masks, please email Amber at amber@kba.org
