FCC GRANTS MORE TIME TO UPDATE EAS
FCC Reveals 60-Day Grace Period for IPAWS Update

EAS participants who are not able to update to the IPAWS certificate that was released on Oct. 28 by the applied deadline of Nov. 8 will not turn into the proverbial pumpkin when the clock strikes midnight, according to a Public Notice from the FCC.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EAS REIMBURSEMENT
As a follow up to the article above and a reminder that KBA member stations may receive up to a $300 reimbursement per EAS unit firmware upgrade.

To process your reimbursement(s), please scan a copy of the purchase receipt and send to Amber at kba@kba.org. The deadline to process EAS firmware reimbursements is June 30, 2020.

WOODSONGS TO TAPE SHOW 1,000TH SHOW
The WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour will make media history, when it tapes its 1000th broadcast on Tuesday November 19, 2019.

Two-time GRAMMY-winning cowboy quartet and comedy group Riders in the Sky has been confirmed to headline the 1000th episode of the internationally syndicated television and radio show “WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour.” The episode will be taped before a live audience at the historic Lyric Theatre in Lexington, Kentucky on Tuesday, November 19.
