BARB SMITH ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT
Barb Smith, general manager of WTCO/WCKQ/WGRK- Campbellsville/Greensburg has announced her retirement. Barb has served the broadcast business for more than 30 years with passion, intregrity and steady leadership. Barb says she looks forward to helping her parents, spending more time with family and having time to relax and pursue the fun things that retirement brings. Her last day with Forcht Broadcasting will be April 30th.

Smith will continue to serve the KBA membership in her role as an Ambassador.
DC FLY-IN BRIEFING CALL IS FRIDAY
Those who have made arrangements to attend the Washington DC Fly-In are encouraged to join a pre-trip briefing conference call on Friday (tomorrow) at 4pm eastern. The call will take no longer than 30-minutes and will give a brief overview of next weeks trip.

RADIO TALENT INSTITUTE
The KBA/WKU Radio Talent Institute is scheduled for July 20-29, 2020, on the campus of the Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. The application deadline is just two weeks away on Friday March 6.
  
We are asking you to please share the link below with your part timers and interns to encourage them to apply.  One on one encouragement can make the difference. There is a limited number of scholarships.

KY SEVERE WEATHER AWARENESS WEEK
Kentucky's Severe Weather Awareness Week is scheduled for March 1-7, 2020. Now is a good time for stations to perform an annual audit of your EAS operating system. If you have any questions, please contact Scott Cason at engineering@kba.org.
