Your Kentucky EMS Education Connection!

KBEMS will be communicating with Emergency Medical Services-Training Educational Institutions and Educators on a quarterly basis through the KBEMS Education Matters Newsletter.  

The newsletter will contain: educational resources, regulatory guidance and clarification on topics related to training, continuing education, certification and licensure, and will be a platform to disseminate national educational guidelines and practices.

Monica joined the KBEMS team on December 1, 2016.  We are glad to have her on our team!
KBEMS Education Committee
The education committee is a standing committee of the board.  The Education Committee shall consist of seven (7) voting members representative of EMS Educators in the state of Kentucky. At least one (1) voting member of the Education Committee shall also be a member of the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services. 
National Registry of EMT’s (NREMT) Psychomotor Authorization to Test (PATT)

The Psychomotor Authorization to Test (PATT) process is effective for Advanced Level Psychomotor Examinations held on or after January 1, 2017.  Candidates and program directors now have access to begin the PATT process so they may schedule their examinations for 2017. 

KBEMS Mass Casualty Incident Training Modules

The KBEMS Mass Casualty Incident Triage Methodology and Mass Casualty Incident Management Course (Modules I & II) were developed by Michael Wallace, Paramedic - Louisville Metro EMS, through the KBEMS Disaster Preparedness and Mass Casualty Incident Subcommittee.
