It's this time of year that I take time to reflect and appreciate my own family. I have a wonderful wife, two beautiful sons, that I give all my thanks to this season. I hope everyone enjoys the break, finds time to rest, rejuvenate and be grounded. When we return we will be all in and ready to wrap up semester 1. Thank you for all of your dedication and support. KBMS is grateful for each and every one of you. See you when we return to school on Monday, November 29th.

Thank you to everyone who ate at Park Burger on Monday to support our fundraiser! We are so excited about all of our upcoming Dine Out events, thank you so much to the Beacon Family Group members of the Financial Committee for your incredible efforts to raise funds for our school. The Birdcall Drive for 35 is up next on Tuesday, December 7!
Kepner Beacon was selected as an awardee of Colorado Creative Industries and Think 260 Arts’ 2021-2022 Colorado Arts Partnership (CAP) Grant! 

Colorado Creative Industries, a division of the Office of Economic Development and International Trade, and Think 360 Arts for Learning have joined forces to launch this new collaborative grant-making program. CAP Grants support Colorado schools in executing innovation and creativity surrounding their arts in education. 

KBMS will use these funds to collaborate with our community partner New Cottage Arts to continue to provide music education through enrichment programming with their Guitar and Voice & Instrument exploration classes.

We are excited that Birdcall has included Beacon Network Schools in their Drive for 35 school fundraisers! On Tuesday, December 7 and Tuesday, January 4 Birdcall will donate 35% of sales using our promo code back to Beacon Network Schools! You can order online, dine in, drive through, and/or take out. Remember to use the promo code “Beacon” when you place your order! 
Food Drive

Help us stock our food pantry! As the weather turns colder, COVID precautions endure, and we head into the two week long break, it is vital that we continue to provide for our families in need. Please consider a donation to our food pantry! 

All food donations can be dropped off at a safe, drive-thru style service at KBMS on Thursday, December 9 between 4-5pm on the north side of the Kepner Campus in the Kentucky parking lot. Monetary donations can be made by visiting www.bnsk12.org/donate You can also purchase items to be delivered directly to the school through our Amazon Wish List.

Has your student taken the Choir, Voice and Singing Enrichment this year? They are invited to take part in Holiday Caroling & Singing at Southwest Plaza on December 11! We love that our partner New Cottage Arts creates these amazing community opportunities for our students. If you’re out shopping on the 11th, make sure to go see our singers at Southwest Plaza mall between 2:00-3:00pm!
KBMS Yard Signs are here!

School Choice season is upon us! You can help us encourage your neighbors to consider a Beacon Network School for their middle school learners by placing a KBMS Yard Sign at your home. You can pick one up today from the main office! Thank you for helping families make a Beacon School their number one choice!
KBMS Food Pantry

The Food Pantry is now open at both KBMS and GBMS. Our pantry provides free non-perishable food items for families in need of assistance. Please reach out to our family liaison Boni Sanchez for any inquiries at mr.sanchez@denverbeaconschools.org.
