Kepner Beacon Community,
“Having fun is the best way to learn.”
Albert Einstein

This week Kepner Beacon celebrated all of our hard work with our first in-person social since December of 2019! We work hard together, learn together, and we turn up together! Thank you everyone for making our celebration a huge success.

Celebrate

We want to celebrate our first week of classes for our GBMS Parents. English class was a success, we had 10 parents attend our first English class. The classes are Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-6pm virtually. Please contact Mr. Boni Sanchez Flores, our school parent liaison if you are interested,720-690-7964.

Also, our Spanish parenting class started this week, it’s every Thursday, in person at KBMS’ auditorium from 9-11am. If you are interested, please contact Mr. Boni Sanchez Flores.
Teacher of the Week

To say that Ms. Fuller goes above and beyond is an understatement. Our intent for celebrating her today is not so suggest we all should or even all could all do the same. The intent is to show gratitude and respect. The truth is Jen doesn’t have to do so much, she does it because she so deeply loves our kids and she believes in their potential. Jen will not pass up on an opportunity to give our kids an experience they might not be able to get outside of Kepner Beacon. We all notice and we are all grateful. Thank you Jen, you are appreciated and you are incredible.
Liveschool & Beacon Bucks

Talk to your children about the number of points they have collected in Liveschool. In addition to motivating students to make good choices it’s one more step we are taking to support their financial literacy.

We have 100 Beacon Bucks and during celebrations students will be recognized and awarded Beacon Bucks. Students can make special food and drink purchases in the cafeteria with their Beacon Bucks.

Soon we will open the School Store for Liveschool points to be spent on rewards and eventually hope to allow students to transfer their Liveschool points to Beacon Bucks.

All DPS schools are creating safe and welcoming environments for our students and staff. We are following the guidelines outlined by the health professionals and everyone that enters the buildings follows the DPS 5. We ask that if your child is showing signs and not feeling well, please keep them at home and notify the school. If we send students home, or if your child is exposed, the school nurse or COVID-19 coordinator will contact you. You can access more information on the DPS Website: www.dpsk12.org/coronavirus/ and our website: www.bnsk12.org/healthsafety
