Had to get away

Finding a Balance Between Urban Wildlife and Humans
That bunny is oh so cute until it devours those prized Asiatic lilies you've been waiting to bloom for a whole year. Living with nature in an urban/suburban environment has its challenges.
Keys to Watering in Kansas City
Why is something so basic as watering so difficult? The problem is simple; we cannot see what is going on below the soil. We're often just left to guess whether the plant needs water. Learning the principles of watering is the first step.
Summer Vegetable Care
You planted them last May. Now that summer's here, vegetables will produce better with just a little care. Use these simple tips to increase your harvest.
Growing Hardy Hibiscus
Hardy hibiscus couldn't be easier. You get a lot of bang for the buck -- big, showy flowers from June till first frost. 'Plum Crazy' is a new, compact variety. If you're looking for an easy-care showstopper for your landscape, find out how you can add color all summer long.
What's bugging you?
Japanese Beetles and Bagworms
While we featured these issues in earlier newsletters, they still are causing problems in our landscape and calls keep a comin'.
