The Fall 2024 semester began this week and the Foundation looks forward to another great year. We are excited to share with you the latest updates and news from the Kishwaukee College Foundation.

KC Foundation Gala

The Kishwaukee College Foundation will host the annual Gala on Saturday, November 2. Please mark your calendars to join us for an evening of entertainment and activities to support a great cause. Tickets go on sale September 3, 2024.

Program Enhancement Highlight

The Yvonne A. Johnson Endowment


Through the Yvonne A. Johnson Endowment, the Art Department was able to purchase a new kiln. The Endowment, which was established in 2014, supports program enhancements in the fine arts, communications, science, and horticulture areas of the College; all of which were passion areas for Yvonne. The new kiln will provide the Art Department the opportunity to expand their curriculum and introduce new firing processes in ceramics courses, such as glass slumping.  

New Fund Update

The Albert & Frances Besserman Endowment


The Albert & Frances Besserman Endowment honors the Kish retirees, and their time spent at the College. Al was a longtime instructor in the Math Department, and Fran in the Library. Fund supports scholarships and program enhancements in each area respectively.

Thank you very much for choosing me to receive the LaVerne "Dutch" Johnson Scholarship. I am beyond grateful for the help in putting me closer to achieving my dreams. Ever since I started at Kish I've truly enjoyed coming to school everyday. The knowledge and support of the staff is something you can't find anywhere else. The instructors in the Diesel Power Technology program are the best around, no doubt.
