CalVaxGrant, a new state program to increase COVID-19 vaccination rates, has expanded its scope and extended the application cycle to reach more Californians.
In addition to physicians and medical practices*, independent pharmacies can now apply to receive up to $55,000 in support of their vaccination efforts.
Eligible providers can be reimbursed for related expenses incurred since November 2020 and through November 2021, including staffing and training (most common expenses), technology, infrastructure, supplies and equipment, and administrative overhead.
Webinars about the application and grant process will be:
*Medical practices with 200 or less physicians, including group, private practice, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), Rural Health Clinic (RHC), community health center, migrant or refugee health center, STD/HIV clinic health center, tribal health center, Indian Health Service (IHS) or urgent care.
