Assemblymember Devon Mathis Stands Up For Healthcare
|
On Tuesday, the California Assembly met as a "Committee of The Whole," a rarely used procedure that lets all lawmakers meet at the same time and hear testimon
y from people not elected to the Legislature. During that meeting Assemblymember Devon Mathis (representing a portion of Kern County
) stood up for healthcare saying that we need to bring more opportunities to the San Joaquin Valley and questioning the Governor's Prop. 56 cuts.
KCMS had sent a
letter to Mathis
and our other Kern County representatives the week before, asking them to advocate for taking budget actions to maintain access to care.
Thank you Assemblymember Mathis for hearing us and fighting for healthcare!
