Three active area volunteers, Sandy Green, Allison Fuller and Reno Unger have become  new members of the Kutztown Community Partnership board of directors as of January first.  “I am excited about the impact that this board will have on KCP,” said Schearer. “Each brings a whole new set of talents to the board in addition to the energy they have all demonstrated on behalf of Kutztown over the years.”

KuBoK seeks Community Volunteers
Training on February 8,  7:00 pm
KuBoK is program for the Kutztown Community. Its is a joint program between KCP and Kutztown University - with the support of the borough and many individuals.

The idea is to have community members (thats you) walk with KU Students to help protect people and property on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 11:30 am - 2:30 am.  Although it is primarily a SAFETY program - its is also a great way for members of the community to walk and talk with KU student in small groups.   Kutztown students always enjoy when community members join the walks and share thier stories and history.

Our next training is Wednesday, February 8. 7:00 pm at Kutztown University, McFarland Student Union, Room 183.   Please feel free to join us!

KASD and KCP seeking business partners for a student experince grant.
The Kutztown Area School District was awarded a $25,500.00 PDE Bureau of Special Education Transition From School to Community-Based Competitive Employment Grant. The purpose of this grant is to improve, expand, and enhance competitive employment outcomes for youth with disabilities in the Kutztown Area School District. Students participating in the grant will receive additional vocational assessment, career exploration, instruction in employability skills, self advocacy skill development and travel training all leading to unpaid and paid work experiences.Through the grant, it is our hope to increase family engagement and community agency participation in the transition process. We look forward to expanding existing relationships with local businesses by working with the Kutztown Community Partnership in an effort to identify high priority jobs and meet the needs of both students and employers within our community. We are asking for Kutztown community businesses to complete this brief survey to assist us in building competitive employment opportunities for our students. Please direct questions to Danielle Berger ( dberger@kasd.org) or Erin Tenney ( etenney@kasd.org).Thank you for your time!  Link to survey:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7CBL73P
