Join us for our next Adventures in Advocacy session, part of KCSC’s ongoing Adventures in Learning series. This is a crucial time to stay informed and engaged as legislative activity ramps up at every level.

The state legislative sessions in Kansas and Missouri are nearing their end, with several important proposals under consideration—including property tax relief and other issues directly affecting older adults. Meanwhile, Congress is moving quickly, with a flood of proposed changes to critical programs that support older and disabled Americans such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Medicaid.

At this session, Laura Loyacono, KCSC’s Contract Director of Policy and Advocacy, will provide updates on:

• The latest from Topeka and Jefferson City, including property tax relief efforts and programs aimed at helping older residents
• Federal-level proposals, including potential cuts to Medicaid and SNAP
• What these developments could mean for our community—and how you can respond

If enacted, these changes could cause real harm to seniors across Missouri and Kansas. Tell your Representative in Congress: NO CUTS to Medicaid or SNAP.
