At KC Shepherd's Center, we advocate for public policy and funding to support older adults, lifting up the voice of the older adult in self-advocacy. This week, we have an update about a property tax measure moving through the Missouri Legislature.

Update:

This Wednesday, April 17, at 9:00 am, the Missouri Senate Committee on Economic Development and Tax Policy is scheduled to hear property tax related bills, including a proposed expansion of the Missouri Property Tax Credit also known as Circuit Breaker. Passage of this measure represents a significant step in providing meaningful tax relief for older and disabled Missourians which will increase income eligibility limits and benefits for both homeowners and renters.
