The first official fundraiser for the Timber to Tides Conservation Alliance was a success!

This event was for the benefit of the three local land trusts, Arundel Conservation Trust, Kennebunk Land Trust, and the KCT to support all three missions of conserving special places in our community.

Attendees enjoyed live music by Sam Lardner and his band, Varoomba, incredible food by Blue Elephant, and drinks by Sips and Saddles. It was a perfect summer night. Thank you to the Seashore Trolley Museum, who were incredible hosts and even provided an impromptu trolley ride to end the night.

Between sponsorship and donations to our auction, we had over fifty community members and organizations support our shared missions of protecting the land in Arundel, Kennebunk, and Kennebunkport for generations to come. Thank you to all who participated in the Fiesta de la Tierra!

Captured our Attention: Our veggie gardens at Emmons Preserve are thriving! They are based off the Seven Sisters of Abenaki Indigenous Agriculture so we have several types of squash nestled among corn, beans, sunflowers and husk cherries.

Volunteer Corner

While you have probably seen our Island Stewards, Trail Stewards, Labyrinth Stewards, and Garden Stewards out and about all summer, did you know we also have a lot of indoor volunteer opportunities as well?

From administrative tasks to joining our Board of Directors, event tasks, and community education there is always a place you can get involved.

Wetlands Restoration Project

The Maine Natural Resource Conservation Program and The Nature Conservancy identified our 13-acre hayfield located between the Batson River and the Smith Preserve Parking Lot as an ideal location to build a wetland.
