The Kentucky State Loan Repayment Program (KSLRP) is now accepting applications from health care professionals looking for help in paying off their student loan debt.
Applicants selected to participate in the competitive program agree to work full time for two years providing primary care services at an eligible practice site located in one of Kentucky’s health professional shortage areas. KSLRP participants receive tax-free student loan repayment awards in exchange for their service commitment.

Awards will now range from $20,000 to $50,000 a year — an increase from past years. Award amounts depend on applicants’ disciplines and specialties, level of loan indebtedness and sponsor commitment level.

The current application window runs for one month from Aug. 1 to Sept. 1. The deadline to submit completed application materials is Thursday, Sept. 1 at 5 p.m. ET.

Eligible KSLRP applicants include physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, certified nurse-midwives, registered nurses, dentists, registered dental hygienists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional clinical counselors, health service psychologists, marriage and family therapists, psychiatric nurse specialists, alcohol and substance use disorder counselors, and pharmacists.

New program participants must begin their service commitment in January 2023.

Program guidelines and all application materials can be found online at kslrp.kyruralhealth.org.

The Kentucky Oral Health Coalition has partnered with Delta Dental of Kentucky and the Face It Movement to develop trainings and resources for oral health professionals to keep kids safe in their communities.

We have hosted the Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma for Oral Health Professionals training several times over the last two years and trained hundreds of professionals across the state. Now we are developing the next level training to build on your knowledge.

We want to hear from you about your training interests and needs to feel confident in your ability to recognize the signs of child maltreatment and keep kids safe - and ensure your colleagues are equipped to do the same!
Complete our brief survey to tell us what you want to see in our next training. This survey will take less than 10 minutes, and those who complete it will be entered to win a $25 gift card.

Haven't taken the Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma for Oral Health Professionals training yet? We will be offering this training virtually during TEN-4 Week on October 7th. Register now!
