The grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Animal Disease Preparedness and Response Program "will allow our state to develop a biosecurity and emergency plan that focuses on foreign critical animal diseases,” Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Dr. Ryan Quarles said.
2021 Fruit & Vegetable Conference to be held virtually over four days
The premier event for statewide produce growers to interact and learn is set to take place virtually during four Tuesdays in January, beginning the 5th.
The average farm size in Kentucky is 171 acres, about 60 percent smaller than the national average of 444 acres.
