KDA hands over Homegrown By Heroes program to Farmer Veteran Coalition
"In 2013, the Kentucky agriculture community was excited about the prospects of honoring our farmer-veterans with their own logo," said Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture Dr. Ryan Quarles, second from left, with Homegrown by Heroes members and representatives of the Farmer Veteran Coalition. "Now, eight years later, we are just as thrilled to turn it over to the Farmer Veteran Coalition. We know itβs in good hands."
Kentucky farms harvested more than 107.2 million pounds of tobacco last year grown on 51,400 acres.
