| | KDIGO Issues Open Call for Methods Committee | | |
KDIGO is seeking experienced methodologists to join the KDIGO Methods Committee and has issued an open call for applications through March 31, 2026.
KDIGO Methods Committee members provide essential oversight and technical guidance to Guideline Work Groups, ensuring all publications adhere to the KDIGO Methods Manual. Responsibilities include upholding scientific rigor, addressing emerging methodological challenges, and ensuring cross-guideline consistency.
In addition to providing methodological oversight, the Committee leads the KDIGO Guideline Methodology Fellowship, launched in 2025 to strengthen formal training in guideline development. Members mentor fellows in evidence appraisal, quality grading, and structured consensus building, helping cultivate the next generation of leaders in kidney guideline methodology.
Appointments are typically three years, with monthly meetings and additional involvement for members assigned to active guidelines. KDIGO welcomes applications and nominations from nephrologists and non-nephrologists with experience in guideline development, systematic reviews, or evidence synthesis, particularly those familiar with the GRADE approach.
