KDIGO Makes Cautious Return to In-Person Meetings
KDIGO marked a return to in-person meetings with two recent on-site events and a number of upcoming conferences and congresses scheduled for 2022.

KDIGO convened its Executive Committee Meeting in Vienna in March, the first meeting with an in-person component since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The KDIGO Executive Committee meets twice annually to discuss and vote on key business matters and policies. This year, KDIGO was honored and delighted to welcome new KDIGO Executive Committee members, Gloria Ashuntantang, MD (Cameroon), Joachim Ix, MD (United States), Irene de Lourdes Noronha, MD (Brazil), and Irma Tchokhonelidze. MD (Georgia).
KDIGO also attended the April National Kidney Foundation Spring Clinical Meetings in Boston, offering print KDIGO Guidelines at the booth, along with demos of the KDIGO Blood Pressure in Chronic Kidney Disease Guideline on the AvoMD platform.

KDIGO continues to closely monitor the global health landscape while planning for both in-person and hybrid meetings. The next meetings with an in-person component will take place in May, and include the Symptom-Based Complications in Dialysis Controversies Conference in Berlin, and the European Renal Association 59th Annual Congress in Paris.
