Dear KEEP community,

Thank you for being a part of KEEP-Wisconsin’s K-12 Energy Education Program successes in 2022! Over the past year KEEP staff served 414 educators through professional development and reached 4430 students through 59 youth & community events.

Renew Our Schools

We bridge educator training and youth engagement with Renew Our Schools, a six-week energy conservation competition that 15 schools have participated in during Fall 2022! Complete an Interest Form to start exploring if this competition is right for your school!

Green Team Mini Grants

KEEP supports place-based learning and provides authentic ELA practice with student Green Team Mini-Grants! Any committed group of WI K-12 students can apply to receive $300-$700 for a project that has the goal of reducing the carbon footprint of their school community. Student projects can focus on direct action or provide seed funding for long-term efforts such as determining the feasibility of a renewable energy installation. Students begin by contacting KEEP to share their project idea via email or an idea form any time before March 13.

Energy Career Pathway

After many months and input from various education and industry partners, the revised Energy Career Pathway 2022-24 is live.

  • See the Energy Career Pathway 2022-24
  • Watch or listen to the November 29 forum from Wisconsin Energy Institute about the pathway
  • Get ready to use the Energy Career Pathway to help your students discover energy career opportunities!
