Last Call: Green Team Mini-Grant idea form due March 13!

KEEP supports place-based learning with Green Team Mini-Grants.

Any committed group of WI K-12 students can apply to receive a grant of $300-$700 for a project to reduce the carbon footprint of their school community. Student projects can focus on direct sustainability actions or provide seed funding for long-term efforts such as determining the feasibility of a renewable energy installation.

Students have until March 13 to share their project ideas with KEEP via email or an idea form.

KEEP staff work with student teams to assist with the design of a feasible project as they complete the application process.

For questions, please email Heather Phelps at heather.phelps@uwsp.edu.

In addition to being one of KEEP's key funding partners, Madison Gas and Electric works directly with educators in its service area to support energy education. This month MGE shares its Earth Day Resources and some of the additional ways its Energy Experts partner with KEEP and local educators.

Earth Day Resources for Kids

Did you know MGE partners with local educators and organizations to educate students about sustainability, energy efficiency, renewable energy and electric vehicles? With Earth Day coming up, check out MGE’s resources for celebrating Earth Day on April 22.
