This award recognizes and rewards exemplary educators who have made energy education a priority in their teaching and outreach initiatives. Awardees serve as role models and empower students, teachers and community members to adopt energy-saving behaviors and participate in energy solutions.

Join us for a live virtual reading of "If I Were a Lineworker", an illustrated children’s book written for K-2 audiences.

The book will be read by real life lineworkers Darren and Hunter. They will also share information about their career, show attendees some of the safety and professional tools they use every day, and answer questions about being a lineworker.



Darren and Hunter are excited to join your students because they enjoy teaching and want to inspire youth!


"If I Were a Lineworker" is an original book created and published by WPPI Energy staff in early 2020 to celebrate National Lineworker Appreciation Day. Darren and Hunter are lineworkers for City Utilities of Richland Center, a WPPI member.

Summer Institute for Climate Change: Scholarships Available!

KEEP is accepting scholarship applications for Wisconsin K-12 formal and non-formal educators to attend the Summer Institute for Climate Change, hosted by Climate Generation. The virtual event will take place July 17-19.


Apply for one of 20 scholarships by May 12.


Priority consideration for teams of educators from the same school and those teaching under-represented communities of Wisconsin.
