We hope you all got to celebrate Mothers Day, either as a Mom or for your mom., and that all you moms felt very loved by your children, spouses and family members! We are excited to go into our Memorial Day week-end with praises, prayers and updates from Hollywood. As you watch TV shows, YouTube or go to the movies, please remember that the credit list of every show or film is a PRAYER LIST. Pick out names of people scrolling up the screen and just pray God’s blessings on them. You may be the very first person to ever pray for that person! Now let’s jump in….

THE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER PASTORS PRAYER BREAKFAST
We are still praising God for the amazing gathering of 90 LA Pastors and Entertainment Ministry Leaders who all gathered for encouragement, connection and prayer. HPN hosted this unique celebration of what God is doing in LA through churches and entertainment ministries. There were new friends, old friends, vision cast by DeVon Franklin and prayer for God's servants in our city. We are praising Him for that morning and praying for further and deeper connections, friendships and prayer throughout our industry and our city.

THE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER NIGHT OF PRAYER
& WORSHIP
We experienced a remarkable night of prayer, praise, worship and encounters with God in the Mears Center of First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, as almost 300 HPN & church members and friends gathered for the National Day of Prayer. It was a birthday party celebrating 250 years of our country, 75 years of the National Day of Prayer and 25 years of HPN! We praise God for a glorious evening, with an amazing Worship band, 4 unique prayer stations and powerful prayer, praise and worship to our Lord.

KELRY KIRSCHENMANN TELLS HER PERSONAL STORY OF TRANSFORMATION
We praise God for Kelry Kirschenmann, our beloved HPN Program Director, whom Karen gives credit for being the one God used to grow the ministry beyond what she imagined was possible. Kelry was just highlighted on Streams Studio, a beautiful platform that posts testimonies of people who have experienced or overcome miraculous things in their lives. Kelry’s story highlights her difficult past and transformation, as she found Jesus in jail! Celebrate Kelry with us as you listen to her powerful story!

MICHAEL JACKSON BECAME A CHRISTIAN BEFORE HE DIED
In the midst of the current popular film Michael, Grammy-winning record producer Rodney Jerkins speaks publicly about knowing that Michael Jackson became a Christian only 11 days before he died. Let’s pray that this story can encourage people everywhere who think it’s too late to pray for their loved ones. The Lord wants us in heaven more than we do, so don’t ever give up praying for someone to come to know Him. And please pray that as this story comes out, other people around Michael and the Jackson family will be encouraged to find out more about Jesus.

FASHION FOR CHRIST IS A MINISTRY IN THE UK
Just after The Met Gala aired 2 weeks ago, we learned that there is a ministry in the UK that celebrates fashion, as a gift from God. He loves beauty and these Fashion professionals in England love Jesus and gather together for prayer, fellowship and testimonies that give God the glory! Let’s celebrate beauty with them and thank the Lord for this ministry of fashion creatives…
Also, did you know that HPN has a list of International Arts & Entertainment ministries for creatives all over the world. Look through our list and let us know if you are aware of creative ministries that should be added.

KYLE BENN JOINS FAMILY THEATRE PRODUCTIONS
We want to thank the Lord for our friend and HPN member Kyle Benn. He is an experienced production Executive, coming from Lionsgate, to independent producing, and now to Family Theatre Productions. Let’s pray for creativity, wisdom and favor for Kyle and ask the Lord to bring more and more excellent believers into decision-making positions in our industry just like Kyle and so many others we know and love.

CANNES FILM FESTIVAL IS HAPPENING NOW: May 12th-23rd
This year’s Cannes Film Festival, the most popular Film Festival of the year for Hollywood decision makers and celebrities, is featuring a diverse lineup of international films. We ask that you pray for the Jury President, South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook and for Pierre Salvadori, whose film The Electric Kiss was the Opening film. Also pray for Barbra Streisand and Peter Jackson, two entertainment icons, who are receiving Honorary Awards. May they find their ultimate identity and joy in the Messiah. There are so many people listed here to pray for. Let’s make an eternal difference by praying for filmmakers whose lives can be transformed just because of our prayers!

PEACOCK IS IN A PICKLE AS THEIR STREAMING RATINGS DROP
Experts tell NBCUniversal that they need to differentiate themselves from all the other streaming services or Peacock will be lost in the mix. Since launching in 2020 the Peacock streaming service has grown to 46 million paid subscribers, but it’s reported to have lost more than $10 billion. Many subscribers are a bit overwhelmed by the number of choices and subscription fees there are for all the competing streaming services. So, the corporate heads are trying to figure out how to stay on top. Let’s pray that we can settle into a few excellent services so that the audience doesn’t have too many choices and the corporate heads can make it simpler and cheaper for their subscribers, without compromising quality.

The International Internal Audit 2026 Conference plans on bringing together the world’s top visionaries, thought leaders and practitioners to their annual gathering in Singapore this June 22 - 24. One of the leading topics is ethics and integrity with AI. Let’s pray for these leaders to seek God’s truth and come away with a commitment to continue technological progress with integrity, honesty, ethics and morality. What they decide impacts the entire world.

TAYLOR SWIFT IS PROTECTING HERSELF FROM AI STEALING HER IDENTITY
Taylor Swift, and other high profile celebrities, are filing trademark applications to hopefully protect themselves from AI-enabled impersonations. It takes a series of applications for trademarks, but one in particular protects her against anyone stealing the timbre and character of her voice. Let’s pray that we will be able to reign in all of the possible negative uses of AI and legally allow only positive uses of AI in our world.

NATE BARGATZE IS THE MASTER OF CLEAN COMEDY
Let’s celebrate today’s #1 earning comedian in the world, Nate Bargatze, who is a proclaimed Christian and celebrating his 20th year as a professional comedian. Nate grew up in a Christian family in Nashville, TN and his integrity, creativity and clean comedy reflect his life as a husband, father, and man of God. Nate has experienced success like few other comedians, having hosted Saturday Night Live, his 2025 Christmas Special and the 2025 Emmy Awards, along with performing around the country to sold-out audiences. As you pray for his continued integrity, talent and character to positively impact audiences around the world, let’s also encourage one another to stand firm in our faith, regardless of our work or our environment. With God ALL things are possible and He is pleased with our love for Him!

Hard Faith Fest is a four-day Christian film festival bringing together filmmakers, actors, writers, artists, churches, ministries, students, families, and audiences for films, panels, conversations, and community. This is our fourth year, and Hard Faith is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on redemptive storytelling through film. We are also the only Christian film festival in LA, and our heart is to create a space where honest, meaningful stories can point people toward truth, hope, and redemption.
