Our company is growing and expanding, so we have decided to add a name to our brand that reflects the fact that we service all of South Florida. Welcome to
Paradise Properties Realty,  by  Padovan Realty Corp. We will slowly transition to our new brand, but always offer the same boutique, expert, personal service!!!

My father, Federico Padovan, moved our family (including grandparents) to Key Biscayne in 1973. I was raised  on the Island and left briefly to earn a BFA degree at NYU. But my heart was always here so I returned to my Island Paradise home where I am raising 4th generation Key Biscayners with my husband Donnie Hall.

As a life-long resident and Realtor on Key Biscayne, I love sharing upcoming events and Interesting activities offered around our community for the residents and frequent visitors of our Island  Paradise and beyond.

We also have three very lovely contributors adding their Insights as well!

To read more about me,

"...With Prince's death I thought of a SUPERSTAR that I DID indeed have to privilege to not only meet, but also sell her a beautiful condo in Aventura.
The only problem is that, at the time, I did not know who she was..."
While hurricane Irma was approaching, there were other storms brewing as well. These storms were the divorced or divorcing parents trying to figure out their hurricane plans in the midst of their own chaos. I received many calls asking me how they should handle their time sharing with the children during hurricane Irma..
The answer: CHILDREN FIRST! This requires communication between the parents.
1) What is safest plan for your children? If the non-time sharing parent has a safer plan, let him/her take the children to avoid risking dangerous situation.
2) Who will children be most comfortable with during a crisis? Some children are more attached to one parent and will be comforted by that parent. Some children want Mommy and Daddy together to weather the storm. If that is the case, try to make arrangements that you are in same location with separate areas, i.e. hotel get two rooms.
3) Avoid escalating conflict in front of the children. Put your marital/divorce issues aside for the moment. Focus on your children and do whatever you can to reduce their anxiety.
4) Make sure children can contact other parent if not staying together, or at least children should know where parents are staying. And, parents should know where their children are staying as well. This is not a time to withhold information.
5) Deal with time sharing schedule changes later. There are always opportunities to make up days.
6) Create a plan for the next time, so that you can repeat what worked and avoid what didn't work.
Stress increases for everybody during crises. When going through a divorce, the stress intensifies. Do what you can to be proactive instead of reactive. Children will cope better when their parents are able to manage crises in a respectful and cooperative way.

Dollars and Sense
In today's fact-driven world it's easy to get caught up in statistics and numbers to measure everything from salaries to how many likes you received on the vacation photos you posted. In this age of immediate information and technology at your fingertips, most everything has become quantifiable one way or another.
However, beneath all the statistics and algorithms lies the undeniable side of life that we are intrinsically human. We are spiritual beings having a physical experience. Take note of the distinctive unconditional value you add to the universe. That's right, what you offer on a vibrational level is often, you guessed it, priceless and often irrelevant to our jobs and professions.
When you exercise that unique gift or talent we are all better for it. Perhaps the smile you effortlessly offer strangers has a greater impact than you can ever imagine. How about the stray animals you enjoy feeding in your neighborhood? When you go beyond the call of duty and think nothing of it, the world is a better place. Other examples include simple acts like writing uplifting notes in your kid's lunchbox, inviting new neighbors over with grace and ease, watering a garden, caring for aging parents or tutoring a foreigner who doesn't speak English. Whatever you do with effortless desire is often one of the many gifts you bring to the world.
You add more value to the world than you give yourself credit for. Pay attention. When you cultivate your gift and talents, you realize that your uniqueness, truly makes the world a better place.

Don't you wish you had a tell all book that shared the truth about challenges and struggles frequently encountered while launching a business? It seems that most successful stories leave out the details of creating a business while maintaining a budget of mac and cheese with PBJ's. The first few years in business can be frustrating and misleading. According to the Small Business Administration,  over 50% of small businesses fail in the first year and 95% fail within the first five years. Expectations seem to be high, and misconceptions of working the grind can leave many struggling to keep the faith. Here are three tips I wish I knew when launching my first business.
  1. FEAR: When we think of fear, we generally think of snakes or gigantic spiders. Perhaps the fear is dealing with your ability to provide for family and necessary living expenses. The fear you will encounter in business will go beyond what you can envision at the start. You will be reminded of former experiences that are tied to failure, you will recall moments in time when you failed miserably and they will all serve to back up your fears in the moments of growth. This type of fear stifles creativity, it makes anxiety flourish and it serves to keep you still and stagnant. If the fears start to win, you will remain in a perpetual state of non-growth which can pivot into saying the words "I give up" ACTION PLAN: When you start to become still, and find that you are not moving forward in business growth or revenue, create a list of 5 action steps you need to take and note 3 reasons under each of what is holding you back. If you are honest with yourself, and truly searching for the answers, you will note the fears, recognize its instilled limitations and conquer that next step.
  2. TEAMYou think you can do this on your own and your invincibility will shine on in a world of entrepreneurism? Doing all the roles at the start of your business launch perhaps is the way to get it all rolling. But eventually in order to really get growing and money coming in, you will need a team. Business grows when we delegate roles, designate vision and give tasks to others, it frees up our time to work on the growth of the business and not the maintenance. ACTION PLAN: Create a list of 5 team players you will need to help take your business to the next level. Note what their roles would be and how they can help you to develop a larger business momentum.
  3. BELIEFYou will doubt, question and believe that you cannot do this business venture. You will feel like quitting and giving up. You will dance between the roles of "all in" and "all out". Your confidence will be tested and others may vocalize their lack of confidence in your ability as well. You may be the only person that believes in "you" and even "you" will say "I won't ever be successful". ACTION PLAN: Your biggest fight will be the conversation you share internally. The times you center around the negativity and dismay of the situation will take time away from the success you have the power to create. When you catch the negative conversation and the lack of belief within yourself, stop and consciously change the conversation. The biggest secret in business success, is to believe that you have everything it takes to get there. Once you re-work and re-program your mind to embrace the strongest confidence in creating your dream business, the steps and perseverance will lead you there. You've got this.
