Welcome to Key Insights Newsletter
NOVEMBER 2017 Edition!!!

HAPPY VETERANS DAY!!!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

November is the month of GRATITUDE and I'd like to sincerely thank all of you for taking the time to enjoy my newsletter over the last two years!

As a life-long resident and Realtor on Key Biscayne, I love sharing upcoming events and Interesting activities offered around our community for the residents and frequent visitors of our Island  Paradise and beyond.

My father, Federico Padovan, moved our family (including grandparents) to Key Biscayne in 1973. I was raised  on the Island and left briefly to earn a BFA degree at NYU. But my heart was always here so I returned to my Island Paradise home where I am raising 4th generation Key Biscayners with my husband Donnie Hall.

To read more about me,
We also have three lovely contributors sharing their insights as well! Please see their monthly articles at the bottom of each newsletter.

I want to sincerely THANK all of you for the wonderful feedback and interest in participating in our Newsletter
over the  last 2 years!!!

13th ANNUAL ROTARY KEY BISCAYNE WINE AND FOOD FEST

Friday, January 26, 2018   6:00pm - 11:00pm
The Rusty Pelican
 3201 Rickenbacker Causeway, Key Biscayne

It is our pleasure to announce that the 13th Annual ROTARY KEY BISCAYNE WINE & FOOD FEST will be held on Friday, January 26th  2018, from 6:00pm to 11:00pm at The Rusty Pelican. The evening's proceeds will benefit the Rotary Club of Key Biscayne Foundation (RCKBF) and its affiliated charities for adults and children.
This year a very exciting and interesting showdown will take place... Thirteen different wines from the New World will compete against the same varietals from the Old World to earn recognition as "Best of Show" in each class. A lovely Italian Prosecco will be offered upon arrival to "season the palate" for the wonderful wines to follow.
Shari Gherman, president of the American Fine Wine Competition & Charity Wine Gala, is our wine director again this year.  Four other noted wine professionals, Patrick Sullivan, wine educator; Wendy Rosano, Sommelier and wine director at Terra Fiamma in Delray Beach; Roberto Colombi, Sommelier and GM of The Blue in the Boca Raton Resort, and Henry Barrow, Wine Educator, will complete the professional Judging panel.

All presented wines have been graciously supplied by Strategic Importers and will be available for sale at the event through Wine Wave, our official wine retailer.  Wine Wave will coordinate all orders, payment, delivery and pick-up, and will donate 10 percent of sale proceeds to the Rotary Club of Key Biscayne Foundation. A variety of food delicacies prepared by several prominent South Florida restaurants are included in the price of admission.

Rotary's collaboration continues with the Arc of South Florida, a Miami-based non-profit helping adults and children with mental disabilities.  Their members will organize the details of the evening and receive part of the proceeds to fund its programming.

Additionally, the Rotary Club of Key Biscayne Foundation has designated proceeds to benefit Fundacion manos Del Sur's educational work with program to promote healthcare and disease prevention offered through The Nobis Foundation and the Rotary Club of Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Rather than each organization holding an independent fund raising event, The Arc of South Florida and Fundación Manos Del Sur will work together with Rotary to offer attendees not only a wonderful evening, but an opportunity to support different efforts in our community. The Rotary Club is pursuing matching grants from the local Rotary District and Rotary International to further leverage the charitable impact of this event.

$75 Early Bird through January 19th; $85 at the door.

HOLIDAYS
Halloween is the start of the holiday season, especially when children are involved. For many people, this becomes a busy and fun time of year.  For others who are (or getting) divorced,  an actual holiday time sharing schedule needs to be followed. The first Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukah, or Christmas holiday not celebrated with your children may intensify the feelings of loss that often accompanies divorce. Your children are also feeling the loss having to share time between their parents during the holidays. Speak to your former spouse about the possibility of celebrating together, of course only if conflict free. If that is not possible, make the transitions as easy as you can for your children. And, finally support, don't criticize, the other parent's plans with the children. This will help reduce your children's anxiety. Remember, always  act in the best interest of your children!

Lucky or Aligned?
I find more and more that vibration is so much more important than the "facts" at hand. By that I mean that the energy that you are emanating is so much more influential to your results than you can ever imagine. So is what is really going on then?
Luck or alignment?
There is a difference between luck and alignment and it boils down to perspective, really. Waiting for luck to come your way is really leaving your desired outcomes to some random chance in hopes that destiny turns in your favor. Instead, alignment means that you are a vibrational match to that which you desire. This is the amazing work of Esther and Jerry Hicks.
With vibrational alignment, you can obtain, sustain and enjoy your objectives as long as you are a match to that energy. How many time have you heard of lottery winners who end up going broke? This occurs because although the money is in the bank (the "facts"), they don't feel rich. Perhaps they feel a more comfortable association with lack as their dominant vibration. You can't take on the feeling of deprivation if you want to feel more abundant, or healthy if you're always focusing on your physical ailments. Energy flows where focus goes. This is not an easy exercise but certainly one worth practicing because the dominant vibration, whether desirable or not, always wins.
Be proactive about your goals and dreams by becoming a vibrational match to that which you want before any manifestation. As opposed to leaving your destiny to accidental chance or luck, alignment is a sure bet you will end up a perfect match to your intentions.

Stepping Into Your Greatness?
Often I witness women trying to be like others. If you are a business coach, then you want to be like Marie Forleo. If you are a Fitness Guru, then you want to be like Kayla Itsines. While being inspired by others is a way to grow your business and set off your creativity exponentially, the comparison model of wanting to be exactly like someone else will deter your growth.
I teach and write often about everyone's potential to be "great". I truly believe each one of us is destined for tremendous movements to benefit the world. How do we step into our greatness if we are focused on others? How do we become authentic if we are grasping to be someone else? My intention is to assist you and your vision to step into your authentic greatness, and use your business and voice to leave a grand positive impact in your community and world.
When we review life and see others that stopped comparing, and instead embraced who they authentically are, their lives shifted and grand possibilities were achieved. They stepped into their greatness.
Oprah Winfrey  was a news anchor and successful in her local Chicago role. However, she was fired for being too emotional and deeply connected to her news stories. She dipped in her career and then blossomed into her greatness. What would have happened had she given up? Where would she be if she set her vision on staying a local anchor? What if she compared herself to others and wasn't open to the opportunity that took her elsewhere? Her current net worth is $3 Billion.
Ellen DeGeneres  was comparable to many comedians when she first started out in her career.  As many of us know, she lost her job because of her authentic self. She dove out of that role and stepped into her greatness. What if she had not shared who she really was? Would she have remained a sitcom actress? What if she had never envisioned creating an iconic show? Her current earnings are $75 million.
Elizabeth Gilbert  lost her ground after her divorce and followed that phase with a transitional awakening. What if she had compared herself to other colleagues? What if she hadn't listened to her higher purpose? Her current worth is now $25 million.
Beyond the financial rewards, there is something greater. They hit a rock and used it as a platform to embrace their truth, authenticity and their uniqueness. When we speak from the heart, when we follow our passion and we use our own voice that is unique to our spirit, grandness in our destiny responds.
No one could have seen how the story would play out for any of them. Yet they stepped out of the comparison mode and embraced their authenticity.
There is no better you than you. There is no more important person that can shine like you than you. It's time to step out of your paradigm of mediocrity and comparison vibes and step into your unique possibilities.  Your greatness is waiting.
