KEY INSIGHT'S ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
Welcome to the October Issue
which
marks the
One Year Anniversary
of our Key Insights Newsletter!
My father, Federico Padovan, moved our family (including grandparents) here in 1973. I was raised on the Island, before briefly leaving to earn a BFA degree at NYU. But my heart never left Key Biscayne. So I returned to my Island Paradise home where I am raising 4th generation Key Biscayners with my husband Donnie Hall.
As a life-long resident of Key Biscayne, I love sharing upcoming events and Interesting activities offered around our community for the residents and frequent visitors of our Island
Paradise
and beyond.
This issue is chock-full of many great events happening in October including a compilation of SPOOKTACULAR Halloween weekend activities around town!
We also have three very lovely contributors adding their Insights as well!
I want to sincerely THANK all of you for the wonderful feedback and interest in participating in my newsletter.

BEER FESTIVAL!!!
MARINE STADIUM

KEY BISCAYNE, FL 33149
Back in 2010, craft beer was just getting noticed in South Florida. But the team at Grovetoberfest was already jumping on the craft be
er train. Since that time we have seen the craft scene in Miami explode and our festival has become the largest craft beer festival in all of Florida (by number of people AND number of beers). If you've been, don't miss the tradition. If you've never been, well you are missing out on a true experience. A craft beer experience that marries the love of craft beer and an incredible social atmosphere.

HOW TO HANDLE RELATIONSHIP CONFLICT
What do you do when your relationship is in trouble? As a psychologist who works in both
couple's counseling and collaborative divorce, the recommendation would be to try couple's counseling first. It will open up communication that may have been shut down allowing the two of you to share thoughts and feelings in a safe and confidential environment with a trained professional. You may even find your way back to one another by having the forum to openly and honestly express yourselves. And, if you decide that divorce is the best option, keeping a dialogue open through counseling will help your interaction with one another be positive. Divorce, even if necessary, is difficult, so if the two of you are able to communicate, the process will be much smoother. Finally, if there are children involved, communication is key to preserving your "family." So, when you are deciding what the future of your relationship will be, try couple's counseling as the first step.

Inner Universe
Raising the vibration of the planet
One inspiration at a time
Fall in LOVE With Yourself, That Is
Although we live in a tropical paradise where the seasons hardly change, we feel the change nonetheless. Schools and schedules are back in full swing, and so is the traffic. Gone are the long lazy days of summer and suddenly we are held captive to our routines including family and work obligations.
Fall is a perfect time to remember the importance of practicing the act of self-love, and no it is not selfish. Be sure to take the time to practice some TLC for yourself. Acts of self-love mean different things for different people ranging anywhere from more exercise, to making better food choices, bringing on Netflix for a couple of hours, rescheduling that lunch date, meditating, taking a long walk on the beach on a weekday without feeling any guilt, taking a long bubble bath, making that salon appointment you keep putting off or taking those salsa dance lessons you keep wondering about. Whatever feels like a treat to you, take the time to indulge and give yourself that energetic hug with the intention of elevating your mood and vibration. If you don't do it for yourself, who will? Everyone around you benefits from your happier disposition and unexpectedly you take on obligations with a lighter step and perhaps a little more fun.
Imagine, if everyone in the world was taught how to love themselves there'd be less bloodshed and violence. Love is the antithesis to fear and it begins with ourselves. We cannot share what we don't possess. Give yourself that spirited embrace loaded in unconditional self-adoration. You may just begin a ripple effect our planet desperately needs.
Remember, they're brief yet insightful, and easy to share.
