Greetings!
Yesterday, we had the opportunity to spend a day in service with student leaders from each of our 13 high schools. The day began with Mass and continued as students served alongside community partners who support neighbors living in low-income housing and those experiencing homelessness. The day concluded at Cathedral Kitchen, where students shared a simple but powerful ministry of presence with those receiving a meal.
Serving alongside these students was a joy. What stayed with me most, however, was listening to them talk and laugh together as they reflected on the day and on the people they encountered. One of the most essential gifts of our Catholic schools is the space they create for young people to be with one another, growing in relationship, empathy, and a deeper understanding of what it means to serve the most vulnerable in our communities. Moments like these reveal the quiet work our schools do each day, forming not only capable students, but attentive, compassionate young people ready to meet the world with faith and compassion.

Please register for our upcoming Principal Meeting on February 26. We will be joined for the day by Dr. James Knight, who will lead a workshop on leadership.
With gratitude,
