Fall Data Collection

Good morning, Kristin,

The Fall Data Collection (mycatholicschool.org/2024-fall-data-collection/) has launched and is very similar to last year, except for the following changes:

  • Elementary schools who enrolled students using FinalSite last spring will not need to input specific grade, race, and ethnicity data for students. However, we still ask you to input capacity at each grade level and a total enrollment number to verify the FinalSite record is accurate. Enrollment should be based on your student count on September 13, 2024.
  • To refine data related to teacher retention, NCEA is asking for teachers employed during 2023-2024, how many left at the end of last year (regardless of reason), and how many were hired for this year.

In addition, the Fulcrum Foundation is seeking information to learn about financial aid practices at your school, your satisfaction with TAP as it currently exists, and gather any other feedback about tuition assistance you are open to sharing.

Please complete their survey by clicking this link: https://forms.office.com/r/1s6BfG3GtM.

We previously sent out the Spring Data Collection, but many schools have yet to complete it. We hope that those schools who have not completed the Spring Data Collection will complete it in conjunction with the Fall Data Collection. It can be found here: https://mycatholicschool.org/2024-spring-data-collection/

This essential data is used primarily for the annual OCS Databook, which includes the required report to NCEA. It is also used to compile the Indices of Vitality, your annual individualized longitudinal report. We are asking that you complete these two online tasks by Friday, September 27, 2024. This task is not optional; if you are delegating this task to someone else, please forward this to them immediately.

As a best practice, we suggest you first complete the Excel spreadsheet Fall Data Collection Spreadsheet – Elementary and/or Secondary. The NCEA enrollment data must be equal in two different ways. For example, the total sum of enrollment by grade must be the same as the total sum of students by race. These Total calculations are made for you in the attached spreadsheet.

Once all the data is correctly entered, you can go online and enter it efficiently.

The online Spring Data Collection is still available at: 2024 Spring Data Collection

The online Fall Data Collection is currently available at: 2024 Fall Data Collection

If you have questions or problems related to OCS data collection, please contact Synthiea Kaldi (synthiea.kaldi@seattlearch.org). We appreciate your work on this essential annual task.

Our team looks forward to welcoming you at Seabeck later this week. I am excited for a new format and want to extend my gratitude to all who have been involved in preparing for this retreat. As I shared at our meeting last Thursday, I will unfortunately be unable to attend this year's retreat due to an unavoidable conflict. While I regret not being able to join you in person, I know the time together will be fruitful, and I look forward to hearing about all the insights and ideas that emerge from this experience and time together.

With gratitude,

NICHOLAS FORD | Superintendent

Office for Catholic Schools | Archdiocese of Seattle

Fulcrum Foundation News & Updates

Fulcrum Impact Day

We are excited to introduce a new initiative we are launching this fall on Monday, October 28 and Tuesday, October 29: Fulcrum’s Impact Day(s).

Over the course of these two days, a Fulcrum staff member, board member, or ambassador will visit each of your schools to personally present a summary of Fulcrum’s support provided to your individual school along with an oversized ‘faux’ check showcasing the amount of tuition assistance Fulcrum donors are providing families this year. The check will be delivered to the principal by the Fulcrum rep, we will take a couple photos for social media posts, and we hope you will hang the ‘check’ in your school for the fall. Our hope is to showcase our support locally at each school and make the impact more relevant within your community.

All arrangements will be made by our staff team, and we will provide you with the name/s of the persons visiting your school, the date, and the approximate time of their arrival. The visit should take approximately 10-15 minutes as we do not intend to disrupt your busy school day.

More details will follow in the Keystone and via email. Thank you for noting these dates on your calendar. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Hall at hall.amy@fulcrumfoundation.org or 206.226.5679.

Assign a Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) Coordinator Today

Please use this linked form to designate a TAP Coordinator as the main contact for all questions related to the Fulcrum's Tuition Assistance Program for the 24-25 school year. For inquiries, email Susan Ocoma or call 206.748.7988.
