Trump on Biden's Policy/Platform
Rose Garden Address July 14, 2020
In a recent event sponsored by the NFRW, Senator Marsha Blackburn from TN, spoke of the tremendous leadership President Trump has brought to our country. The following items should be remembered for discussion with voters on how our President has performed and will continue to accomplish for our country:

-200 miles of border wall completed
-200 Federal Judges appointed and confirmed – first time in over half a century with no seat empty (all are filled) with conservative judges
-the most supportive President in recent history for religious liberty
-moving our embassy in Israel to Jerusalem
-Tax cuts and the Job Act opened so many opportunities
-he is holding big tech companies accountable for online liberties and keeping them honest with their censoring (reform of Section 230, Communications Decency Act)
-4.8 million jobs created just in the last week in the rebound after Covid (higher than anticipated)
-Executive Orders such as making it a Felony Offense to destroy monuments
-working on holding China accountable for the Covid economic impact on the US
-working on closing Confucius Institutes on American Universities that are a part of China's soft power where they are spreading propaganda against the US
-bringing manufacturing back to the US (MAMA ACT, Making America Manufacturing Again)
-bringing pharmaceutical manufacturing to the US
-supporting upcoming Human and Child Sex Trafficking Legislation which will be more restrictive

The list could continue on for pages, but these items are some of the top issues that President Trump has initiated and/or supported.

August is National Women's Suffrage Month
Women Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Voting Rights
In collaboration with the WSCC, the U.S. Senate passed a bipartisan  resolution  designating August 2020 as National Women's Suffrage Month. Led by Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Susan Collins (R-ME), and cosponsored by all 26 women senators, the resolution commemorates the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. In recognition of National Women's Suffrage Month, throughout August, the WSCC and its partners will convene conversations with museums, institutions, and historical sites across the country to spark a national dialogue about suffrage history and its legacy.

I hope our KY clubs will hold special events to commemorate the women that paved the way for the passage of the 19 th Amendment, giving women the right to vote!!!

On August 26, 2020, buildings and landmarks across the country will light up in purple and gold as part of the WSCC's nationwide Forward Into Light Campaign, named in honor of the historic suffrage slogan, “Forward through the Darkness, Forward into Light.” Encourage lightings in your community as we celebrate 100 years of women's right to vote in the official suffrage colors — from state capitols to skyscrapers to bridges to city halls!

Senator Blackburn and her daughter Mary Morgan Ketchel, have co-authored a children's book about the 19 th Amendment entitled “Camilla Can Vote”! The story is about the history of the Women's Suffrage Movement (Susan B Anthony Amendment) where for 72 years Republican Women fought for the right to vote.

Ladies, at our upcoming KFRW meeting and Suffragette Luncheon on August 22, 2020, we will celebrate the 100 th Anniversary of the passage of the 19 th Amendment!! Due to the current situation concerning the Covid 19 virus, we have decided not to hold our Biennial Convention. But we will gather in Lexington at the Clarion Hotel, where social distancing will be followed to conduct our business, electing officers and witness the portrayal of Madeline Breckinridge McDowell, a KY suffragette. This will be a fun day and we will enjoy being together as Republican Sisters! Please mark your calendar and register when our registration form comes out very soon!!

May God Bless Each One of You, our President Trump and our Republican Leaders during these sometimes difficult times!!
