This fall, our engineering team attended the Fall Engineering Symposium in Waukesha, WI, hosted by Generac Industrial Energy. This event featured technical PDSS sessions on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Microgrid applications, generator sizing, NEC codes, and Generac’s Power Design Pro sizing tool.
In addition to the informative presentations, engineers had the opportunity to talk with Research and Development specialists who design Generac products; they saw alternators, controllers, enclosures, network communication devices, and other aspects of generators. Featured in the Waukesha R&D lab was the new 1450 kVA mobile generator as well as the new 2.25 MW Diesel Generator, which is the smallest of the new mission critical units.
The engineers were also treated to a Factory tour at Generac’s new Beaver Dam facility where generators 500 kW and below are built.
The Fall Symposium was a great opportunity to learn, connect with peers, and see how Generac’s products are developed. Generac Symposiums are always informative and an amazing way to see the future of Industrial Energy!
