KDADS has posted Nursing Facilities Reopening Requirements and Recommendations

KHCA/KCAL, LeadingAge Kansas and KACE will host a second live webinar on Tuesday at 3:30 with KDADS' Deputy Secretary Scott Brunner and Deputy Secretary Janis DeBoer. This will be a continuation from today’s call with additional opportunities to ask questions that may have not been answered in today’s call. Registration is required. Attendance is limited, but both sessions will be recorded and posted by all three Associations. This information will apply to Nursing Facilities. Assisted Living, Home Plus and Residential Health Care will be addressed at a later time once KDADS has guidance finalized for them

The clinical management of COVID positive and presumed COVID positive residents requires understanding the various disease trajectories and having appropriate plans of care in place that align with each residents’ goals and preferences. It also requires working with medical directors and clinicians to have the needed medications and other treatments available. This webinar will review the key considerations for the clinical management of COVID positive and presumed COVID positive residents.
